Let's take vegetable by snack!

There is no Baon until tomorrow because the school is during the health break.

Yesterday, when I visited to church, I saw some children who were eating a snack during the Mass started from 11 o'clock.

I thought that the children could not eat the lunch enough with their stomach full.

Children's stomach is small and they can not obtain enough nutrition from 3 time meals only. So, the snack is important for children. However, if we mistook the timing of providing the snack and amount the snack for children , the children can not eat 3 times meals enough. 

We should be careful the timing of providing the snack and amount  of the snack!!

I would like to introduce healthy snack! This is a "Cake salé" in French. The Cake salé is unsweet pound cake and it is good for breakfast also. The cake salé is not used butter and includes a lot of vegetables, so the cake salé is very healthy!!

This time, I will introduce the Cake salé of Kale and Bacon.


[Ingredient (for 2 pounds cake molds)]
・Egg, 3
・Extra virgine olive oil, 75ml
・Milk, 150ml
・Flour, 150g
・Salt & Pepper, a little
・Cheese ( Parmesan or Processed cheese), 75g
・Kale, 2 pcs (Holy Carabao's organic Kale)
・Onion, 1pc
・Bacon, 30g

 [Procedure]
1. Cut Kale, Onion, and Bacon like following picture. Pre heat the oven to 180℃ .

2. Sauté the vegetables and Bacon with a little Olive oil.

3. Mix the eggs, milk, and Extra virgine  Olive oil.

4. Mix the sautéed vegetables and bacon, salt & pepper, and flour.

5. Cut the cheese (if use processed cheese) and mix well.

6. Put the mixture into the pound cake molds and put some cheese on the top.

7. Bake it in the oven at 180℃ for 40 minutes.
